Atlas is a giant orange cyclops, wearing a blue tunic and wielding a massive club.
He is the first miniboss encountered in Hargon's Castle, and is not particularly difficult as such. Like his lesser brethren, he relies on brutal physical hits to destroy his enemies.
In dragon quest IX Atlas, Is a mid level grotto boss attacking twice per turn with regular attacks for about 100-150damage per hit he can attack twice per turn, his other attack is Crackerwhack, Hits all team members for 90-120 damage.
