Beran is a city in southwestern Torland in Dragon Quest II. It is the only gateway for traveling to Rhone.

Geography[]

Beran is located on a large island surrounded by mountains. You can access the city by taking the center Waygate in the Fire Shrine, or by docking your boat on the southwestern side of the island.

Overview[]

Beran holds the only travel gate which can be used to access Rhone. It connects to the Shrine South of Rhone which provides access to the Cave to Rendarak; assuming the heroes possess the False idol.

In the remakes of Dragon Quest II, staying at the inn in Beran causes the Prince of Cannock to fall ill. The only cure is for the remaining heroes to travel east of Burrowell and retrieve a Yggdrasil leaf. When administered to the prince, he makes a full recovery. The marks the only occasion when the Prince of Middenhall and the Princess of Moonbrooke travel together alone.
