Crocodilopolis is a major dungeon location in Dragon Quest V. It is under construction during the second era of the game and is visitable during the third era. The Hero was a slave building the temple with Prince Harry until their escape at the start of the second era. It is the base of operations for Nimzo's forces in the overworld of Dragon Quest V. It is also the location where the Hero's wife is located in statue form during the third era. It is only accessible via flight on the Zenith Dragon as it is high on the mountains.
Crocodilopolis is named after a real-life city in Egypt. During the Pharonic period, it was the center of the cult of Sobek, the god of the Nile.
