The Wasteband (formerly known as the Cursed Belt or DvlBelt) is an accessory in Dragon Quest, and can only be found in one of the chests of The Dragonlord's Castle. When equipped, it curses the Hero, sometimes making him unable to move. Additionally, the entrance of Tantegel Castle will be barred by the guards and king while under such a status, in fear of the curse spreading. The only way to remove the curse is to speak to the elderly magician found in Tantegel town.
