Dazzle (formerly Surround) is a spell in the Dragon Quest game series. As with all other debilitative spells, it maintained a base accuracy of 100% until IX.
It attempts to surround targets with illusory duplicates of the party, making it harder for them to successfully hit when using a physical attack. Unless stated below, the target's accuracy is reduced to 3/8ths. It does not affect spells and some skill abilities.

The Gerion class can use Dazzle at the second rank after 16 battles. The Mage learns it at the sixth tier after 105 battles. Maribel learns it at level 11. It costs 3 MP to cast.
Angelo learns Dazzle after investing 3 points into his Staff skill tree. It costs him 5 MP to cast and affects one group of enemies.
Dazzle is learned by Armamentalists at level 2. It costs 5 MP to cast, and has a base accuracy of 75%. Once the caster's magical might reaches 50, the spell will gradually become more accurate. Once the stat reaches 500, the spell have a base accuracy of 100%.
