|Romanji||Gadongo the Strange Statue|
|Introduced in||Dragon Quest IX|
Gadrongo is the guardian of the wyrmlight bow.
You should be in the low thirties for this fight. Gadrongo has a fairly strong physical attack, Blockenspiel, which deals weak damage to a character, but also counts as Gadrongo defending, Heartbreaker, which damages and stuns a character, and Ground Pound, which hits the whole party. He can also use Burning Breath to inflict paralysis, and a guaranteed critical attack that can do from 180-200 damage, probably killing a character. Fortunately, he only acts once per turn.
The general strategy of attacking with your physical characters and healing when necessary applies here, though others may need to help with healing items. This can be a hard fight, so if you are struggling, gain a couple more levels killing Liquid metal slimes in the Bowhole and try again.

|Description: A stalwart soul sealed in a statue and bunged into the Bowhole to test contenders in combat when the time came. Wormwood Creekers once thought the wyrmlight bow and Gadrongo were guises of a spirit who watched over the Wyrmward.|
