The Gittish Empire were a group of bloodthirsty Humans bent on conquering the world, before being wiped out by the dragon Greygnarl. Unfortunately, they were eventually resurrected as monsters, and reasumed their nefarious goals.

History[]

300 years prior to the story, the Gittish Empire was once the Gittish Kingdom run by King Godfrey, in what would later become present day Coffinwell. Godfrey's son Godwyn, impatient that his father wouldn't hand over the kingdom to him, murdered him and became his successor, turning it into a ruthless empire by humans bent on conquering neighboring countries. During their wars against other countries, they allied themselves with Barbarus, Greygnarl's twin brother, believing themselves to be superior to the rest of mankind. They conquered and burned down countless lands, demanding money and women from those they conquered. However, the entire evil empire was eventually destroyed by Greygnarl and his allies, returning the world to a state of peace.

While they were still active, the Gittish Empire controlled a vast region of the world after their military expansion, though it was left uninhabited following their destruction.

However, centuries later, during the events of the story, the old forces of the Gittish Empire, including its leading figures, were resurrected as monsters by one of their past enemies, Corvus, a Celestrian the Empire had managed to capture in Wormwood Creek and torture for many years before they were wiped out. The reason behind this resurrection was part of Corvus's plan to destroy mankind, having grown an enormous hatred for humanity due to toll taken on his psyche by the tortures and the perceived betrayal from his beloved Serena. Although Corvus was technically not a member of the Gittish Empire, upon reviving them he did manipulate them from behind the scenes and all but directly controlling them, making them his puppets without them knowing it, and him their mastermind, all the while still chained in his decayed prison cell in the Oubliette.

The Gittish Empire didn't remember their demise, nor did they realized they had now turned into monsters, reoccupying their previous terrory and continuing their campaign of world conquest like no time had passed at all, before bing stopped by the actions of the Celestrian Hero.

Trivia[]

  • The Gittish Empire is most likely based on the British Empire. Their names sound similar, and most Gittish soldiers speak like a stereotypical British person, using phrases such as, "I say!", "Old boy," and "awfully."
  • The soldiers that appear in Serena's flashbacks are presumably the same soldiers the Hero encounters in the Goretress and in Gittingham Palace, as they do not remember dying and fail to realize that they have become monsters.
  • It is possible that Brigadoom's destruction was caused by the Gittish Empire, due to the King of Stornway striking a deal with Yore to protect them from the Empire by letting Brigadoom be destroyed, although the demon had a contract with the Empire to destroy Stornway.
