Great sabrecat (formerly Killer Panther, MadCat and Mad Cat) is a monster who appears in the Dragon Quest game series.

Saber is introduced as a party member in the first generation, a kitten (sabrecub) being given by two boys in Roundbeck after the adventure in Uptaten Towers.

Great sabrecats later appear as regular foes on the western continent during the second and third generations. With Saber already being a member of the party, other sabrecats generally cannot be recruited
