The Gleeban Coins are items with no purpose other than to be sold. They are found only in Dragon Quest IX. To date, there are three types of Gleeban coins : Gleeban guineas, groats, and gold pieces. They are not dropped by any monsters.

- Interestingly, Gleeba seems to have no relation to these coins.
- In Dragon Quest 8 , There's coins with the same effect as the Gleeban Gold Coin, that can be obtained by fighting the overworld Monsters, used in Morrie's battle palace.
- These coins in VIII are known as copper monster coins, silver monster coins and gold monster coins. (The harder the monster, the better the coin. Eg. Easy monster=copper monster coin, Medium monster=silver monster coin, Hard/er monster=gold monster coin.
