The Rebirth stone (formerly Dragon Potion) is a mysterious item that appears only rarely in the Dragon Quest series
Appearances[]
Dragon Quest II[]
In the NES and SNES versions, liquid metal slimes will occasionally drop a Dragon Potion when defeated. They allow you to save your game anywhere. When you load a game saved by a dragon potion, you are transported to the town in which you last saved. It is absent from the other versions of the game.
They can be sold for 7,500 gold coins.
Dragon Quest V[]
The rebirth stone is a restorative item that automatically revives a party member when they die for one time if it is inside their personal inventory, before disappearing once used. One can be found as a treasure in the Nadirian T' N' T board, and another inside a chest In Estark's Labyrinth. King cureslimes rarely drop these stones.
