Is U.S. dragon quest VI legit?

On the article for Dragon Quest VI, it says it hasn't been released in the U.S. But I own DQVI, Realms of Revalation (published by Square Enix and Arte Piazza) and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it was real or not.
